Old band, movie, superhero and pop culture t-shirts wanted

Natasha from Ashhurst - Pohangina

Hi Neighbours - I work with a young man who has special needs and we are working on a project to make bags out of old t-shirts. He is able to sew a little and he loves music and pop culture so we hope to combine these interests and make some bags that we could eventually sell. I'm wondering if anyone has any band, movie, superhero or general pop culture t-shirts that they would like to donate to us? It doesn't matter the size or how old they are or if they have rips or holes. I'm happy to come and pick them up. He's really excited about the project and we are hoping to get a few t-shirts for free just to get us started.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Kathryn from West End

Kia ora neighbours,

Is there anywhere yet in Palmy where bubble wrap & polystyrene can be taken for recycling?

Thank you.
