Kahuterawa reserve

Fiona from Linton

Does anyone know who is responsible for keeping kahuterawa reserve clean?we use it alot in summer and it has been trashed by stupid people up to no good, drinking and smashing bottles all over the rocks and littering old TV's and general rubbish.sad to see people don't give a shit about the many families that take their children down there to swim have picnics and bbq's.its not safe to get to the water as there is glass every where.
We have takin photos and piled up most of the rubbish so who ever should be cleaning up can clearly see it.If anyone has an idea who I can talk to about this please let me know.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Kathryn from West End

Kia ora neighbours,

Is there anywhere yet in Palmy where bubble wrap & polystyrene can be taken for recycling?

Thank you.
