Tie down the trampoline - MetService has issued a strong wind watch!

As a series of fronts move eastwards across the North Island this afternoon, north to northwest winds are expected to turn westerly and become strong across lower parts of the Island. The strongest winds are expected about the Tararua District and Wairarapa north of Masterton, and a Strong Wind Watch is now in force for these areas.
