Veggie Plants Waikanae and Otaki Markets This Weekend
Hard to believe we could be staring down the barrel of yet another wet weekend! No-one told the tomatoes that wind and rain are not great gardening weather, so they have continued to grow into big strong plants just itching to go into the ground.
Looking for more colour in your salads? We have cherry, medium and extra-large tomatoes in red, orange, yellow, black, green, purple and even a 'blue' cherry appropriately named "Dancing with Smurfs'!
This week we have the first of the outdoor capsicum (4 different colours) and hot chillies.
Last chance for Kumi Kumi but still good stocks of Cucumber, Zucchini and Pumpkin and Spring Onions.
Share your favourite main crop potato recipe and win a copy of our mag!
Love potatoes? We will give away free copies of the May 2026 issue to readers whose potato recipes are used in our magazine. To be in the running, make sure you email your family's favourite way to enjoy potatoes: mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, by March 1, 2026.
