Hope Hub Free
If you care about your community and would like to make a difference this Christmas, make sure you tune in to 104.7FM tomorrow morning at 9am (also available as a podcast from our website), as Tanya popped into the Hope Hub Free Store, opposite the lovely Thompson House Gardens on Kent Street, Levin to chat with Tanya and Charlotte to see what actually goes on at the Hope Hub, how they rescue food and what their aim is for the community. Hear how you can help! Follow them on Facebook too!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
