Kapiti Strawberry Festival
Kapiti Brass Band's next engagement is this Saturday 19 November. It's the 2022 Kapiti Strawberry Festival which takes place each year to raise money for the Mary Potter Hospice. The venue is the Kapiti Primary School which is opposite the Police Station, entry off Ivor Trask place by the library. We open the show so please be there at 9.30 for 45 mins. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
