And, with sun forecast within the next hour or so in Kapiti. the heavy rain possible in the Tararua Ranges is unlikely to add to this early morning’s trace.

The daily average temperature to date is 23.5 degrees, the same as last year and a few points above average. Sunshine is also slightly up on last January, and rainfall of course is way down.
