Warkworth Harmony Circle

Paula from Snells Beach & Mahurangi East

*To answer the queries for those not on Facebook or the HC newsletter.... :- )
Harmony Circle was started with a desire to meet likeminded people. People who know/sensed in their heart that there is more to ‘being a human’.
And almost 4 years on I can say with certainty that the intentions I began with exceeded my vision.
I have had the pleasure of meeting some absolutely, incredibly wonderful, heart led, and interesting people. Some of whom, to my hearts joy, have become lifelong friends.
I’m not alone in this either, many people who became part of Harmony Circle also made some wonderful connections & friendships, some of which have been life changing.
For the better of course :- )
I had already become aware that the level of commitment it required from me to continue was now affecting my own pathway forward. However, I had intended to give it a little more time to either have the load eased or, somehow, maybe I would find a way to morph it into something less time consuming. Alas, my plans to at least see it through to its 4th birthday in November were scuppered!
How? Well, in the same way I had an inexplicable drive and desire to start this all up, and did so quite quickly, I recently experienced the same energy of certainty and knowing that it was now time for a break.
I listened. Just in the same way I listened at the start.

Why ask for guidance if we’re not going to listen when it’s given?

Although I did query it (‘it’ being the unquestionable divine guidance), and questioned it too, after all, I was due to be the next presenter! After qualifying a few months ago as an Emotion Code/Body Code practitioner, in addition to my other practises, I was eager to share this awesome modality! But the knowing/guidance was so strong, and felt so right.
Therefore Harmony Circle is now on a break while I take the time to focus and pursue my own pathway.
The reasons the break was needed are already becoming apparent. I am so glad I listened.
I’m still here. I’m still contactable.
Who knows what the future may hold. I’m open to it. I always have been.
With love, respect, and my hearts gratitude, Paula xx

Changing the conversation around dementia

Evelyn Page Retirement Village

Reducing stigma starts with the words we use, and shifting the way we talk about dementia is a powerful step forward. This World Alzheimer’s Month, Ryman is highlighting the importance of reducing the discrimination caused by stigma surrounding people living with dementia.

Caroline Bartle, Ryman’s Dementia Care and Innovations Lead, says that using appropriate language when referring to people with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia can foster a more inclusive society. This not only benefits those experiencing cognitive decline but also their families and the wider community.
