Auckland Council is questioning how much longer it can keep fixing eroded coast
It has started looking at how long it can keep making fixes to storm damaged coastlines.
With the situation expected to only worsen at some sites, the council may soon have no land left to be able carry out work.
It won't occur for decades, or even centuries, the council believes, but its staff will start to look at long-term strategies within repair work about to be carried out.
