If you love rustic and farmhouse home decor, gather your friends and join us to create your own rustic masterpiece for your home or for a special gift. A solid pine wooden plank sign, which you will create from raw materials and paint your chosen design using a personalised pre-made stencil.

You can choose a design from any of the galleries on our website (except 'Personalised' & 'Family Tree' - done in another workshop).

All materials are supplied, just bring an apron or old over-shirt to keep your clothes clean. Tea, coffee, and nibbles will be supplied, but if you feel like you may need a wine to get your creative juices flowing, then feel free to BYOB.

When you arrive at the workshop, you will choose your stain and paint colours.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA)

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times. Find out more
