The PICKERS

Kayleen from Orewa

๐ŸŒฑ As the Season Turns, So Does the Harvest ๐ŸŒฑ

With the change in seasons, your garden may be overflowing with different produce - think juicy tomatoes, crisp beans, refreshing cucumbers, or vibrant courgettes. ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅ’๐ŸŒฑ

If you have surplus, why not donate it? Our community food banks will be incredibly grateful for your generosity, especially as the need for support continues to rise. ๐Ÿ’š

Every contribution, big or small, helps nourish those in need. Letโ€™s come together to make a difference this season!

BOOK a Pick and Pick Up and we will visit free and repurpose and redistribute your generous donation.

๐ŸŽ Share the Joy This Christmas! ๐ŸŽ

This festive season, let's make it special for children in our community. If you'd like to donate a new gift for a child, we would be honored to pick it up and deliver it to the Hibiscus Coast Salvation Army. ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

Theyโ€™ll be supporting 80 local families in need this Christmas, and your thoughtful contribution could brighten a childโ€™s holiday with joy and hope. ๐Ÿ’

Thank you for spreading the spirit of givingโ€”together, we can make a difference. ๐Ÿ’š

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens arenโ€™t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days โ€” the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, whoโ€™s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
