Kelly Townsend - Grief and Loss in the Time of Change
Tuesday 12th October at 1pm (see Zoom link below)

When we hear the word “grief” we often associate it with death. But grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss of ANY kind. Grief is a cocktail of emotions; the conflicting feelings caused by the end or change in a familiar pattern of behaviour.

So, even though NZ’s approach is one of elimination to avoid deaths, there are many other types of loss occurring. Loss of freedom, connection, loss of health from other causes, security, jobs, businesses, relationships, holidays, loss of trust, loss of personal expression to name just a few.

Join me to learn more about society’s relationship with grief, the unhealthy coping mechanisms we adopt to deal with it, and how to hold space for yourself and others who are experiencing loss.

FREE DRAW - I would like to gift a copy of the The Grief Recovery Handbook, and 20% off a Healing Through Loss and Transition weekend retreat I'm running in November in a FREE draw eligible to those who attend.

Do you know that the high cost of dental services is leading many people to extract their own painful teeth using just garage pliers? That’s enough to make anyone wince!
Could it be within your power to make a wonderful difference to those in need?
At Christian Dental Services, it’s our vision to offer affordable dental care to those who need it most, with minimal fees and low overheads. We are not reliant on fundraising or Government funding and our aim is affordability across the whole treatment (not just X-rays and examinations).
We are seeking trained dentists, hygienists and assistants as well as those all-important front desk staff to help get these services to those in need. Even just a few hours per week would make a massive difference.
We would love to have you join us to support this work of the Lord.
