We want to hear from you - Whakapā mai!

Richard Parfitt from Whakatāne District Council

We're currently in the process of developing our Long Term Plan for 2018-28. This guides our work and budget for the next 10 years. It’s a pretty big deal for the future direction of our District. To make sure that we are on the right track, we want to hear from you.

A good place to get started is to read our consultation document. It outlines the key priorities for the coming 10 years and asks for your feedback on some of the important decisions we need to make.

You should have received this document in the mail by now. If not, visit our website to find out more (link below). If you’d prefer a physical copy you can pick one up from our libraries or customer service centres in Whakatāne or Murupara.
