Near misses on rail crossings - What's your experience?
Hi neighbours - There have been seven near misses on rail crossings in Taranaki in the past year.
The locations were at Egmont Street Normanby (twice), Standish Street Inglewood, Manutahi Road Lepperton, Beaconsfield Road Midhurst, Pembroke Road Stratford and High Street Hāwera.
"The close calls took a huge toll on train drivers and those who narrowly miss death," said Kiwi Rail chief executive group Greg Miller.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
