Equipment Delivery Volunteer
We are in need of volunteers to assist with the delivery, set, pack down and pick up of community patient care equipment. This role is good for those who are physically fit and active, able to manoeuvre light equipment and operate hospice vehicles. It is important to have empathy, sensitivity, patience, and be able to relate well to people from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances and be comfortable around illness, end of life and people under stress. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
