People across Nelson, Marlborough and Tasman can work with our team of Doctors and Nurses to support health research. If you have a health condition, you will improve your knowledge and understanding of your condition, and your treatment may make a difference to your health outcomes. If you are a healthy volunteer, please consider taking part in a vaccine trial to help develop new vaccines against common but significant diseases. We see Clinical trials as a social good that helps all people in need of new health care options.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
