Petition against sale of NCC water assets to government
Nelson ratepayers may wish to sign the petition "Nelson City Council : 3 Waters Issues" as to whether or not Council will decide to sell-off our water assets to government.
These assets are valued at $685M and Minister Mahuta has offered $20M in compensation.
So far 40 Councils out of 67 have said NO to Government - and so should Nelson City Council.
You can help convince Council by adding your name.
The goal is to reach 500 signatures and your support is needed.
Let every Nelson ratepayer know.
You can read more and SIGN THE PETITION here:

Letter from council as follows:
Good afternoon Justine,
In response to your enquiry regarding track maintenance in Eureka Park where tracks through the redwoods and Greenwood Track are located, our contractors have outlined the following:
A leaf blower is used to
* Blow the debris out of the gutters to allow the water to drain correctly.
* Remove the debris and leaf litter off the track surface to allow the water to shed correctly and reduce the slipperiness/unevenness.
These methods of track maintenance are our standard operating procedures, and allow us to manage general water erosion wear and tear on our track surfaces
Ngā mihi
