Poll: Should Nelson City Council help save Natureland?

Skara Bohny Reporter from The Nelson Mail

Should the council put up the funds, or not? Do you have any other ideas for how to save the zoo, or has it's time come? Let us know in the poll or comments below.
Natureland is in trouble, after receiving less council funding than they requested last year.
Possibly the only way to save the business, according to a letter sent to the council by the Natureland Wildlife Trust board chair, is to receive the remaining funding they initially requested, otherwise the zoo will close and the animals will go, either to other zoos or, worst case scenario, by being euthanised.
What do you think should be done?

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
