Work Fit - free Job Seeking Course

Paul McGregor from Adult Learning Support

Howdy folks, Paul from Adult Learning Support here.

Do you need help to find a job? We're running a course called Work Fit that might be just what you need.

This free 10 week course will give you the skills you need to get a job. You’ll identify your skills. Write a cover letter and CV. Apply for jobs online. Practise interviews. All with a supportive group of coursemates at your back.

It’s for you if:
• you're just coming out of school and don’t know what skills you have
• you’ve had enough of working a hard physical job
• you’re coming back to work after being a full-time mum.

It starts on 31 July, and runs 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 10am to 2pm.

The classes are small, which mean you get the support you need to make real progress.

If this sounds like you, get in touch with Elise!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
