This study is important because RSV is a contagious virus that can cause serious respiratory illnesses and can lead to complications such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and cardiac issues. In New Zealand respiratory tract infections are one of the leading causes of hospitalization and are the 9th leading cause of death in patients over 65. People over the age of 65 contract at least one respiratory tract infection each year. There is currently no vaccine available. Adults aged over 60 years who are in good health and independent with daily activities can take part. Eligible participants of this study will receive all study related tests and procedures at no cost and a reimbursement of $150 per clinic visit for your time and travel. The study will last up to 24 months which includes 8 visits to our clinic in Stoke, Nelson, regular phone calls, and additional visits if you have respiratory symptoms.

Come & learn some interesting Nelson history!
On 18 July 1874, Mrs Charlotte Boseley, landlady of the Bay View Hotel, Wakapuka, was found dead on a sofa at the hotel, under suspicious circumstances. (We believe that the Hotel was sited somewhere between the now Bay View Road and Malvern Avenue, Atawhai).
The drama continues ....
Melodramas revolve around the basic conflict between virtue and vice using one-dimensional stereotypical characters to represent absolute good or absolute evil and devices such as songs, asides (directly address to the audience), title boards and scenic visual effects- all accompanied by incidental music to clear up any doubt.

This play is written by Penny Taylor, who lives in Wakapuaka. She is a member of Histrionics, a not for profit group whose vision is to bring history to life in our community. You can find us on Facebook www.facebook.com...
