Nelson Social Band
Are you an ex brass band player? Do you have an interest in brass bands? We are on the lookout for new players for our social band. If you are retired/in limbo/not currently playing and still have an interest, then come along to Nelson Social Brass. We do a number of playouts during the year. Nothing too serious and definitely no marching or contests! We practice once a week and welcome all ages and skill levels. Practice is Wednesday night, 7pm at the Band Hall in Hathaway Terrace (Trafalgar Park car park) or msg me for more details.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
