Sharing so everyone knows
Hi everyone, just letting you know that my office has been responding to requests recently for a meeting to discuss some incidents of youth crime that have occurred in Stoke. We are working with some of the people affected to both support them and decide on the best type of meeting to arrange. I’m in Nelson this week and will share the meeting details once they have been finalised. In the meantime, please feel free to message me on here, phone my office on 03 539 0480 or email me at nelson@parliament.govt.nz if you want to be involved. I’ve met with the lovely man who was attacked by three young women, and his family and advocates and we are providing support to him. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community, and I know that’s what most of us in Nelson want for everyone who lives here. Take care everyone, and I’ll share meeting information on my page as soon it’s available.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
