Spirited Conversations Committee is currently organising speakers for 2022, and planning an interesting and stimulating line-up for when the region goes to less restrictive Covid setting.
Yaza Cafe will be happy to host us then, provided all attending are wearing masks and can show vaccine passes. We look forward to seeing you when our 2022 programme begins.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
