CANCELLATION: After an excellent series of speakers pre-lockdown, Spirited Conversations again has to cancel our meeting, scheduled on 24 November, to conform to current Covid 19 restrictions in our Yaza Café venue.
We expect to start again in 2022 when it is clear how the Traffic Light Framework will affect us, so will provide an update early in the new year.
Your Committee wishes you a happy and enjoyable time over summer and looks forward to seeing you all again in 2022.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
