Two cats urgently needing a loving home
Noodle and Lily have a close bond, so ideally they would find a home together, however we’ll consider adopting them out separately. I've never been allergic to cats but have developed an allergy now so I can't be in the same room as them for too long. Lily (female white domestic short hair, approximately 10 years old ) is outgoing with an open and loving personality, she's a lap sitter. Noodle (female seal point Siamese, approximately 10 years old) is timid. She loves to cuddle up to people on her own terms, she prefers gentle cuddling. The cats sleep together and groom each other. They are indoor / outdoor cats. They both use the cat door and do their scratching on a scratching post and have very good manners. They do their business outside but use a litter box if they have to be kept inside. They aren't hunters. They are both sterilised and microchipped, and their immunisations and worming meds are up to date. They will come with toys, food and blankets. We got them from the SPCA 6 months ago, and if I can't find another home for them we'll have to take them back :( If you can give one or both of them a stable, loving home, please contact Jenni on 548 4107
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.4% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.1% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.5% ... It is complicated
