Fundraising
My daughter is a Venturer and is fundraising for Venture – an exciting national camp being held in Wellington this year. To help get there, they’ve crafted handmade paracord survival bracelets and carabiner keyrings, which can be custom-made in ANY colour combination you like!
Bracelets are $10 each and feature a working compass. Made from 2.5m of paracord, they unravel to provide over 17m of high-tensile cord – perfect for emergency use.
Keyrings are $6 and made from 1.3m of paracord, extending to more than 9m when needed.
Paracord is versatile and useful for hiking, camping, hunting, and general home use. Your support will help these girls on their adventure to Venture – thank you!
Poll: How important is the ability to book a doctor’s appointment online?
Hi Neighbours
Here at The Doctors we would love to hear how you prefer to book your doctor’s appointments. With busy schedules, different people find different methods easier.
For some, online booking is very convenient, you can make an appointment anytime without needing to wait on the phone. Others still prefer calling the clinic and speaking to a real person, especially if they have specific questions about their visit.
Your feedback helps us understand what works best for our patients and how we can improve access to care.

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕
Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!
Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
