Room for Rent!
Have posted on both TradeMe and Facebook, so thought I would try my luck here too.
Rent: $275pw + $8pw Broadband. Water/power halved monthly.
1x room with en-suite available in apartment complex w/ access to gym and pool.
I’m looking for a female flatmate of similar age to live with me. (20s/30s). The lease is until January 2025 with the potential to extend this after in another unit.
Note: This is not a party house. Must be clean and tidy and reliable with rent 😊 ideally some rental history and references would be good. Place is furnished entirely (couch, king size bed, wardrobe etc) by the owner and I have provided my own kitchen furnishings (air fryer, slow cooker, cutlery, plates etc) which can be used. Water & power is charged monthly (going halves). Cleaning supplies halved, toilet paper separate due to en-suites. Bond is $1100 with one weeks’ rent ($275). If you have a vehicle, it’ll have to be parked in the visitors’ parks to the back/side of the complex or outside of the complex due to there only being a limited number of parks directly outside the apartments. Laundry/dryers on site.
About me: I am a 25 (almost 26) year old who works full time as a support worker and studies part-time in law. I like a pretty chilled & quiet environment, but love an occasional glass of wine at the end of the night. I love to cook and relax, also like to walk and gym when I can. Ideally, I’d love someone I can be friends with as opposed to just flatmates 😊 a safe and secure environment for everyone is paramount to me

⚠️ DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS. If you love them, don't leave them. ⚠️
It's a message we share time and time again, and this year, we're calling on you to help us spread that message further.
Did you know that calls to SPCA about dogs left inside hot cars made up a whopping 11% of all welfare calls last summer? This is a completely preventable issue, and one which is causing hundreds of dogs (often loved pets) to suffer.
Here are some quick facts to share with the dog owners in your life:
👉 The temperature inside a car can heat to over 50°C in less than 15 minutes.
👉 Parking in the shade and cracking windows does little to help on a warm day. Dogs rely on panting to keep cool, which they can't do in a hot car.
👉 This puts dogs at a high risk of heatstroke - a serious condition for dogs, with a mortality rate between 39%-50%.
👉 It is an offence under the Animal Welfare Act to leave a dog in a hot vehicle if they are showing signs of heat stress. You can be fined, and prosecuted.
SPCA has created downloadable resources to help you spread the message even further. Posters, a flyer, and a social media tile can be downloaded from our website here: www.spca.nz...
We encourage you to use these - and ask your local businesses to display the posters if they can. Flyers can be kept in your car and handed out as needed.
This is a community problem, and one we cannot solve alone. Help us to prevent more tragedies this summer by sharing this post.
On behalf of the animals - thank you ❤️
