Poll: Priority lanes the best option for Nelson's traffic problem?

Tim Newman Reporter from The Nelson Mail

Responders to an NZTA survey have shown a preference for priority lanes (on Rocks Rd, Rutherford Rd, and Waimea Rd) to help ease Nelson's traffic congestion issues - ahead of a new inland route or a widening of Rocks Rd to include two lanes each way.

However, Nelson MP Nick Smith says the survey was a "compromised response", as it was weighted towards people living near the city centre and not people who are also affected but live further afield.

What do you think the best solution is? Vote in our poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
