Have all the Judges gone mad.
Reading stuff today i came across 2 things that made me think the judicial system has gone mad.
What do you think? She sold drugs from home so the judge gave her home detention?
A New Plymouth woman who sold lollies laced with cannabis to school children ran one of the busiest tinny houses in the city according to some of her neighbours.
Simone Henderson, 31, has been sentenced to nine months home detention after she was busted possessing and dealing the drug.
Now work these math's out
From a start point of 15 months in jail, the judge added one month to reflect “a relevant previous conviction”, before factoring in a 25 per cent discount for his guilty pleas.
Further reductions for his dire medical situation and genuine remorse resulted in a 10-month prison sentence, which the judge converted to five months of home detention.
No wonder we are in so much trouble.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
