Erosion causes safety concerns at Tahunanui Back Beach

Tim Newman Reporter from The Nelson Mail

A series of high tides over the weekend caused significant erosion to a section of the Tāhunanui Back Beach.

Nelson City Council group manager for community services Roger Ball said while the erosion at the beach had been occurring for decades, it was becoming more obvious as it got closer to human-built infrastructure.

How have you seen the back beach change over time - and how do you think it will change in the future?
