Hop Federation joins Kono kete of brands
Local craft beer brewery Hop Federation has joined the Kono kete of brands, which includes Tohu Wines, Kono Wines, Tutū cider, Annies fruit snacks, Kiwa oysters and Yellow Brick Road, a sustainable seafood supply business.
Chief Brewer Simon Nicholas says ‘We share their passion for sustainability, outstanding produce and making a difference in the community. The Hop Federation team are looking forward to joining the Kono whānau, and continuing to create great beer.’
Kono are a food and beverage business based in the top of the South Island. They’ve been growing hops for over 10 years and their passion for hop farming is matched with Hop Federation’s dedication for the brewer’s art. By joining forces, they have more opportunities for innovation and creativity.
Head to the Hop Federation regional tasting room in Riwaka to taste their beers, wine and ciders. Open Wednesday – Sunday 12pm – 6pm.

Fast paced comedy!!
I have agreed at very short notice to be involved in a Nelson Fringe Festival show! Alice has turned 65. On her party evening, she nods off watching late-night telly, and wakes in Retirementland. A wacky adventure ensues - the Rat Race sweeps her along and a wry cat asks difficult questions.
A playful kiwi comedy about rediscovering identity, and exploring and embracing life beyond work.
Alice in Retirementland features all your favourite characters in crazy new scenes adapted especially for Alice's latest adventure - rediscovering what is really important to her now that she has reached retirement age.
This mad action will appeal to anyone whether or not they are in a similar stage of life - there will be laughs for everyone as you spot your childhood favourites in their new roles.
This fabulous perennial tale has lost nothing in the re-telling, and promises a great night out for all!
