Volunteers Needed

The Team from Red Cross Shop Richmond

Kia ora Nelson & Tasman Community,

We’re looking for volunteers to join our amazing Red Cross Richmond team!

We currently need support on the following days and times:
• Tuesday: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Friday: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

If you’re interested, please give us a call at 03 544 4956 or drop by the store to chat with the manager to find out more.

We also welcome students 14 and over who’d like to volunteer for a few hours after school—we’d greatly appreciate your help!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
