Equipment Delivery Volunteer
We are in need of volunteers to assist with the delivery, set, pack down and pick up of community patient care equipment. This role is good for those who are physically fit and active, able to manoeuvre light equipment and operate hospice vehicles. It is important to have empathy, sensitivity, patience, and be able to relate well to people from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances and be comfortable around illness, end of life and people under stress. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
