Volunteers Needed for New Hospice Shop on Saxton Rd
We welcome volunteers with an outgoing personality and good communication skills who can focus on providing excellent customer service to our shop cliental. Nelson Tasman Hospice operate with a $3.5 million funding shortfall each year. The Teams behind our Hospice Shops raise almost half of the funds needed to continue providing specialist palliative care to the region. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
