Let’s stop avoidable deaths in NZ. Sign this petition for better health care funding for Pharmac
Did you know that NZ’s spend on medicine is the lowest of comparable OECD countries?
Or that in the last 5 years there were 3631 avoidable deaths due to a shortfall in funding for medicines?
How about that if you have advanced breast cancer and live outside of New Zealand you are twice as likely to survive?

Australia funds 103 medicines that NZ does not have access to.
Is it fair that Kiwi women and men face worse health outcomes than patients in other comparable countries?
Maori women with breast cancer are 37% more likely to die than non-Maori.
As a breast cancer survivor I am committed to campaigning for others so they can have the best access to health care they deserve.
If you are concerned about the underfunding of Pharmac and avoidable deaths in NZ then sign this petition now on this a link...

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
58.9% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.4% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.7% ... It is complicated
