Feeling Neighbourly?

Sarah Whittle from Hope School Country Fair

Are you a local business based in Hope or the surrounding area? Every year Hope School holds a Country Fair to raise funds for the running of our small school. At this popular event we have a Silent Auction where we auction off goods and services kindly donated by the community.

Our fair is coming up on 22nd September. We thought Neighbourly could be a good way of reaching out to local businesses who we otherwise may not have contacted.

If you are able to support us in our Silent Auction, by making a donation of goods or services or a voucher that we could auction off, we would really appreciate if you could get in touch with us via Neighbourly or by calling Hope School on 03 544 8427. It is a great way of advertising for business in the local community, and funds raised will be used to provide our students with experiences and resources such as trips out, visitors into school, library visits and support staff.

We greatly appreciate the generosity of local businesses and advertise this generosity before and during our event.

Many thanks for your support!

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

A Valentine’s-inspired wedding dress show at Ryman Healthcare’s Logan Campbell Village is providing the perfect opportunity for residents to share memories of their romantic day.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
