In May, 2010, I started a daily poetry blog at t.j.hurford/rhymes. I have kept this up every day since then and now have 2252 original works available to anyone interested in this subject. My first book, 'To Insanity And Beyond' by t.j.hurford was published by Audio Arcadia in the U.K.. (couldn't find an NZ publisher/agent), is available on both Lulu and Amazon or through the publisher. My poem today is about a failing nation, but my work covers many subjects from aliens/sci fi to romance and war themes, humour and religion. I am heavily influenced by the English classicists, Coleridge, Wordsworth, Milton et al. and Rudyard Kipling as well as 'Carry On films' etc.. Please take a look. One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
