Heavy rain warning issued for Nelson
Be wary of severe weather which is approaching and may affect Nelson over the next 24 hours. Nelson is forecasted to expect 110 to 150mm of northerly rain, with the largest accumulations likely about the western ranges. Peak rates of 15 to 25mm per hour during Tuesday.
Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.
