Subaru Legacy 2006

Ian from Upper Moutere

This is a fabulous car which has been a good and faithful servant for me. It's a 2-litre, 4-speed tiptronic gearbox, all-wheel drive silver Subaru Legacy station wagon in very good all-round condition. It has an electric sun-roof and a fully compliant tow-bar. Registered till 01 July 2020 and WoF till August 2020. Tyres are nearly new. It has relatively high mileage (334k km) but virtually all of it has been South Island rural travel on bitumen roads, with almost zero stop-start commuting. I would have absolutely no qualms about jumping into it right now and driving to Invercargill. And back! Anyone who knows about Legacys know that they are extraordinarily competent open road vehicles with their low centre of gravity and symmetrical all-wheel drive. Everything works except the radio, but I just stream radio stations into the stereo through my phone. I've owned quite a lot of cars in my life and this one is definitely one of the very best. It has some very minor dings from the supermarket carpark and some paint blemishes from exposure to the sun and the impact of about a gazillion insects.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? πŸ›»πŸš¨πŸš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
