Heavy rain warning for Nelson
MetService has issued a heavy rain warning for Nelson west of Motueka.
Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.
Valid: 12 hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm Friday.
Forecast: Expect a further 50 to 70mm of rain on top of what has already fallen. Peak intensities of 15 to 25mm/hr.
An update for severe weather will be issued by 10:00pm Friday 19 Jul 2019.
