Hit and run on Frenchay drive
To whom it may concern,
I am very upset that you not only hit a cat going around the corner of Frenchay Drive, but that you kept going... It was in terrible pain, and I won't go into details about its physical state. I don't know how it is now, but mum and I did what we could to help it then. Too bad you couldn't do the same...
Sincerely,
Briana Collins and mother
Thank you to the man who stopped to help us and kindly moved the cat into a cardboard box. It made the transport to the vet easier.
Thank you to those at Halifax vet who had to make the decisions regarding the cat's welfare.
If your cat has been missing for the last 24 hours and would like to get in touch with me, please contact me on 027 938 8448.
It was a tabby cat with white under chin and tummy.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.6% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.9% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.5% ... It is complicated
