Charity shops clean ups
Hey Hawke's Bay. I have heard and seen a few tough stories of charity shops being inundated with rubbish/extra unneeded clothing from level 4 and 3. So this morning, Chris and I are going to spend a few hours heading around Napier and Hastings to some of these shops with 2x of our 4m3 PortaSkips to fill up to help out. If you volunteer at or know of any of these stores in need of getting rid some rubbish forced on them, tag them so we know where to head. Otherwise google maps charity shops will be to the rescue...
Cheers,
Willy.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.4% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.3% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.3% ... It is complicated
