Hello my name is Olivia, I teach Chair Yoga in Napier 3 times a week. Chair yoga is designed for seniors but is open to anyone. I am now going to run these classes online through Zoom. If you have never been to one of my classes you are welcome to join me. Do not worry if you have not used Zoom before, it is very simple. You click on the class link below and follow the instructions to download zoom. It is free. If you have any problems feel free to call me before or after the class. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.9% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.1% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14% ... It is complicated
