Napier Summer Street Party - Saturday 3rd Feb

Cathleen Neighbourly Lead from Marewa

Saturday 3rd Feb - 10am - 3pm

The first Sat in Feb sees a fun, free, family-friendly event in the CBD - the Summer Street Party on Emerson.

We'll have two entertainment zones, one especially for the kids (with face painting, bubble machines, storytelling and Parkour arobatics), and a second zone featuring kapa haka from Ngā Uri o Pania, beats from the Bay Batucada sound battalion plus music and dance. The road's closed so the party can stretch the length of Emerson Street.

The only missing ingredient are a thousand Napierites. Hope to see you there!

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
