Red Cross has always been about good people doing good things. We’ve been working in New Zealand for more than a century and today, you’ll find us lending a hand in the Hawkes Bay Community, New Zealand and around the world – we’re here for good!
Our Annual Street Appeal is being held in Hawkes Bay on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st of March and we are on the search for collectors in Havelock North and Hastings. Just a few hours our of your day will mean all the difference to people in need.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
