We found out that some … View moreHalloween is creeping up! Our recent Halloween Survey has revealed what New Zealanders REALLY think of Halloween. Did you know that only 1 in 10 households give out healthy snacks to trick or treaters, or that our favourite thing to dress up as is a ‘witch’?
We found out that some participants have some pretty wacky costume ideas like; ‘Donald Trump', ‘an inflatable flamingo’ a ‘popcorn vendor’ and ‘grumpy grannies’. Comment below with what you'll be dressing up as this year!

1. Set up a Halloween Group for your street! Plan your Halloween evening with your neighbours to see what time everyone is taking the kids out. You could even co-ordinate matching costumes!
2. Download one of our SPOOKY Neighbourly Halloween posters to stick on your house or letterbox for if:
- You welcome all trick or treaters
- You want trick or treaters to stay away
3. Stay in areas of your neighbourhood that are familiar and are well lit. And although Halloween is supposed to be spooky, be careful not to frighten your elderly neighbours by popping out of the dark!
