Dementia Hawke's Bay is hosting an education Workshop. Please share this around as it would be of benefit to ANYONE who has ANYTHING to do with Dementia. Whether you are a Nurse, Doctor, carer, family member or in a community business who may come into contact with Dementia sufferers like Pharmacies, Hairdressers, Bank workers ...... I could go on. With the guest speakers and experts in the field, this will be educational, thought-provoking and inspirational. Not to mention the awesome lunch that will be provided by Pure Catering! 😋 This can also count towards your professional development hours if you are in the care/ health industry. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
