Healthy New Year 🙌

Laura Jaritz from Napier Neighbourhood Support Inc

The start of the New Year has always been a popular time to reassess where we’re at with our health.
We'd love to hear what you do within your local community to stay fit & healthy!!

Whether your goal is to increase your fitness, reduce your stress levels, eat healthier, or simply be more mindful, there’s no better time than now to take steps to improve your well-being.

The best way of course to stay on track is to get others involved!

From starting a walking group with neighbours to trying out new recipes with whānau or friends – it’s always more fun to do things together.

Share your tips, recipes, photos and experiences with us using the following hashtag: #NSNZhealthynewyear

Each month Neighbourhood Support New Zealand launches a national campaign where we focus on a theme or topic relevant to the time of year.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
