Fire Warning!!

Rhonda Neighbourly Lead from Hastings Central

Hi there,
Well, I have a new one for you. My work desk at home is in a lovely sunny spot. Papers sometimes sit in a 'same spot' for a long long time! Because it is is a sunny spot, I have a little mirror on a stand there (great in the sun as I can see what the hang I am doing with those tweesers and mascara!) ... I picked up a little booklet made of paper that has been on the 'to do ' list for far too long and I noticed it had a brown mark...didn't think anything of it, till a few days later I looked at it properly and it is a burn mark!! I looked at it a while, said to my husband, "hey does this look like a burn mark to you?" He said, "Definitely".....hmmmm I thought a while and then I reckon it was the mirror that has two sides possibly tilting with the direct sun on it, and burning the paper. Far fetched?? Dunno but seems to be the only thing that makes any sense...moved mirror to less sunny spot and will bring it out when I need it. ...Imgaine that, fire started my make up mirror!! YIKES. I doubt anyone else has their mirror on their desk, but maybe you have one in the sun... just thought I should let you know so you don''t make my mistake. Great weekend out there, have a good one everyone.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? ๐Ÿ›ป๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
