The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

CDANZ estimates that around 250,000 dogs are chained up for their entire lives in Aotearoa. Animal welfare inspectors from the SPCA can do little for them and only in the most extreme cases can dogs be seized, and owners prosecuted, due to the resources involved. Do we need to have better welfare … View moreCDANZ estimates that around 250,000 dogs are chained up for their entire lives in Aotearoa. Thank you so much to every one who came to our big day yesterday. It was fantastic. Hectic, slightly crazy and noisy, but fantastic. We had such an awesome day, even though the weather wasn’t perfect.

I talked to so many people, my throat was raw by the time we closed our doors. And I gave out a couple of hundred Easter eggs, to kids of all ages.

The store will be opening on Tuesday. It’ll be a soft opening, as I’ll be setting up throughout the week, and adjusting things as I set up, but you are all welcome to come and see what I’m doing. This isn’t just for me, it’s for all of us.

Thank you. And don’t forget to get your raffle tickets.
